Bamboo and spring

We at care by me are so excited about the newly added material to our fresh and colorful pre-spring collection – BAMBOO!

When the first collection samples arrived on Friday we were absolutely ecstatic about how incredibly soft the new plaids/scarfs are! The first color we received is this super elegant nature beige/sand color. The super minimalistic knitted rib and the color go together beautifully and we find it easy to match with both our wardrobes and our interior.

Although bamboo isn’t often thought of as ultra-soft, such as cashmere, we are very pleased with the softness of this new ‘wonder’. It honestly grows on you by the minutes you are wearing it.

It will of course be available in more varieties and colors in the future. We are very hopeful that this material will be absolutely stunning in all kinds of shapes, sizes and colors.

Besides how amazingly soft and beautiful bamboo has proved to be, we are very excited to have added this material to our collection for other reasons as well. This new addition has opened up for yet another area of CSR for care by me. Bamboo is considered to be a traditional sustainable fiber from which super lightweight fabrics can be derived and therefore used for clothing and textile production. Bamboo grows all across the world, mostly in china, and is a really fast growing plant; they easily grow to be more than 2 meters tall. Bamboo fibers are formed of a high percentage of cellulose, which is processed as regenerated cellulosic fibers. Bamboo is therefore a hybrid of natural/man-made fibers.

We hope you will love the beautiful, soft and sustainable bamboo materials as much as we do

  1. Hi 🙂 thank you for that GREAT comment! I love bamboo and the samples I have just received just increased that love – I’m not sure how but the handmade finish just make the products more soft than other things I know 🙂
